Voices Up - the movement
The Voices Up - Community focus
In creating Voices Up, the hope is to build a safe community where families can invest in our youth and in each other by building connections through music and relationship. A place where learning, fun and friendship can have lasting impacts on the youth and their families.
The Voices Up - Equity focus
Brisbane and Logan is an immensely multi-cultural area and Voices Up is firmly committed in creating pathways toward cultural equity. Through providing a safe environment for all cultures to be acknowledged, respected and celebrated. This means that not only will each student be given the same opportunities to start with, outcomes dependent on culture or disability will be sensitively managed.

Melodee's why?
After performing as a professional vocalist for 25 years, I feel an unwavering call to give back to the youth, just as my mentors gave back to me when I first started out. Their investment in me was a huge factor in giving me the confidence to not only perform in front of thousands but to carry myself with confidence and empowerment through life. Even in simple things like advocating for myself for prefect roles in school, job interviews and having the ability to speak to people with ease and confidence. I believe, that now more than ever, our youth need positive empowerment to help guide them on their self-discovery journey whether it be through singing or life in general.
